# True Pay-Per-Request Protocol

> Make individual API requests or digital-service calls payable on demand instead of requiring subscriptions.

The True Pay-Per-Request Protocol lets you charge for individual API requests or digital-service calls instead of locking customers into subscriptions. A customer makes a request, the payment condition is evaluated, and the digital response or service is unlocked once that condition is satisfied.

**Use it for:** Metered API access, on-demand digital services, per-use software features, and any workflow where customers prefer to pay only when they actually consume the service.

## How it works

1. Define the price, payment recipient, and terms of service for the request.
2. Connect the API request, payment, and digital delivery in one flow.
3. Unlock the digital response or service when the payment conditions are met.

## Minimum preparation

Before you start accepting pay-per-request payments, prepare the following:

* An API or digital service you want to charge for.
* A price per request or per use that you will charge your customers.
* The payment recipient and terms of service for your offering.

For account requirements and eligibility, contact [hello@feezless.cloud](mailto:hello@feezless.cloud).

## Pricing

Distinguish the price you charge your customers per request from the fees for using Feezless. Contact Feezless for the current transaction rate and applicable charges before accepting payments.

> **Note:** Creating a payment request or receiving a transfer proof alone does not confirm payment. Check the confirmed payment status before delivering the digital response or service.

## Next step
